The ballet is such a romantic place to take inspiration from for your wedding day. I fell in love with this sweet shoot from Everlasting Love Photography. The organic and lush florals mimic the soft flowing gowns, making a beautiful combination.
This shoot was inspired by the ballet, Coppelia. The ballet is about a girl named Coppelia who sits on her balcony all day reading, speaking to no one. A boy named Franz falls deeply in love with her and wants to marry her, even though he is already engaged. His fiance, Swanhilda, sees Franz throwing kisses at Coppelia. Swanhilda soon learns that Coppelia is actually a doll that belongs to Doctor Coppelius, the mad scientist. She decides to impersonate the doll, in order to win the love of Franz. Chaos ensues, but all is soon forgiven. Swanhilda and Franz make up and get married. The marriage is celebrated with several festive dances. Drawing our inspiration from this ballet, this shoot is filled with soft, romantic tones, two stunning wedding gowns, and a few “mad” scientist elements sprinkled in.

Today’s springtime wedding from Heather Chipps is the perfect example of how important styling and great photography are in a wedding. This couple was on a tight budget, but you definitely don’t get that budget feel with how beautifully everything was put together. I cannot believe that the bride’s entire look (gown, veil, and all) were DIY’ed by her family. You can tell that their priorities were having fun and some gorgeous photos at the end of the day to show for it.
The location was next to a man made lake on a clear spring day, my colors were emerald green, creme, and gold. The style of the wedding was indie/rustic/hipster.
The getting ready for it all and getting all dolled up with my bridesmaids was the best. I also loved dancing with my husband at the reception was the best!!
The most important thing to the both of us was to have fun and the anticipation of being married. It was all stressful but SO worth it.
Everything was simple and hand made. DIY inspirations from Pinterest. From my dress to the decorations. We tried to spend as little as possible, but still make it look beautiful.

Here at Glamour & Grace, on Fridays we show gorgeous images. This breath-taking shoot photographed by Archetype is almost too dreamy for words. The Swan House is already a stunning one of a kind venue, but add in styling by the fabulous Sapphire Events and it is a knock-out. Every detail is effortlessly elegant. And the vintage gown from Gossamer is sweet romance personified (am I the only one who wants to steal it?)
