You may have noticed a few updates here on Glamour & Grace this past week. Vintage and handmade have long been the focus for G&G, but I felt like it needed a little refining. Glamour & Grace is now the place for everything heirloom weddings. Connecting to your heritage with treasured heirlooms makes your wedding day more meaningful and memorable. So many couples put such a huge value on family and incorporating these cherished pieces. But I think the thing we often forget, is what will we leave for our future generations? I am so excited to share more on how to use heirlooms in your wedding day and also new heirloom pieces for you to include to be passed down.
One of my favorite designers creating modern heirloom pieces is Emici Livet. From ring bearer pillows to hair accessories, each piece is handmade with love. Her hand-pressed silk flower bouquets are breath-taking. Can you imagine getting a piece like this passed down from your grandmother? What a treasure!
I am so excited to announce that Emici Livet is giving G&G readers a chance to win one of her amazing designs! This tulle edged cuff bracelet is made with gold rhinestones and freshwater pearls and is a stunning statement piece. All the ways to enter and details are below. Good luck to everyone!

I am head over heels for this elegant woodland inspiration captured by Elizabeth Ngundue. All the details are so timeless, yet fresh at the same time. The color palette is classic, but I love the whimsical pop of red with the poppies on the place setting. Even down to the hair with it’s very classic waves, but modern braid, they are all beautiful contrasts and complements. The whole shoot was inspired by the Matthew May quote: “Something is elegant if it is two things at once: unusually simple and surprisingly powerful.” The quote is just perfect and exemplifies this shoot to a T. If you love the outdoors, but really want to go with a more elegant and classic feel, this is the inspiration for you.
I am so excited to start off this week with this fabulous succulent wedding captured by Allee J. It is filled to the brim with amazing details you will fall for. I love how they really put a lot of focus on their guests, offering blankets, gloves, and hankies for them to use. You can see all the love that they put into their wedding day to make it special.
Our wedding was perfect. It was actually perfect! I know every bride says that, but our wedding was in November…in Lubbock Texas….with a low of 56. I mean c’mon- God is good! It was a beautiful evening and day!
I LOVED being with all of my best friends all day. We laughed, we cried, we prayed and we danced! We didn’t do a first look (Jeff and I), but I did a first look with my dad! And that was a really precious moment!
The most important thing to us was we wanted our ceremony to be a reflection of the gospel. Of how God can take two sinners, bring them together and even though we are sometimes sucky- He still makes us beautiful and He still makes us whole again.
Jeff and I washed each others feet! I really loved this, it was a visual representation that day of our vow to always put each other first and to serve one another. To humble ourselves to the point of washing stinky feet. It was a sweet moment. My oldest brother did the music and it was perfect and my middle brother did our ceremony. Which was really special, too!
Our colors were mainly neutrals, greenery and gold. I wanted our day to be classy and elegant, but so much fun! I wanted it to reflect Jeffrey and I and how different we are, yet how God has so perfectly molded us together! I also wanted it to be different from the ‘normal wedding’. I knew I wanted to have an outdoor wedding, because Jeff and I really enjoy doing outdoorsy things! Another thing that was really important to Jeff was that all of graphics looked great. I married a graphic designer, so he was a little picky about that! Which I am thrilled he was. Everything was basically custom made.
Our reception was awesome! The food was delicious, the dance was a blast and everyone left with a smile on their face! It was such a fun day, with all of my favorite people in the world!
