I am so excited to share with you all this amazing gemstone, Moissanite! If you haven’t heard about Moissanite before, I know you are going to fall in love!
Love the look of a diamond, but worry where it might come from? Moissanite is the best option out there for gemstones that are ethically sourced and conflict free. Charles & Colvard® Moissanite is made in the USA (right in North Carolina!) so you can be confident in your choice. I had the pleasure of getting to visit the company headquarters and it was so much fun to see how these stones are made. Moissanite is man-created pure silicon carbide, who’s hardness rivals that of any mineral on Earth, resulting in an amazing gemstone free of environmental and ethical issues.
The really great part? It is much more affordable than a diamond, so you can still get that look you love without breaking the bank (No, your fiancé does not have to spend 3 months of their salary on an engagement ring). Not only does it have more fire, brilliance, and luster than a diamond, but it is the only other gem that lasts a lifetime. You know here at Glamour & Grace we love heirloom pieces and Moissanite is a great choice to be passed down generations.

The really, really great part? Charles & Colvard® was generous enough to let me pick out a ring to give away to one fabulous reader (seriously, we got to go in the vault and pick something pretty for you!) I chose this amazing 4.30ctw Radiant Cut Forever Brilliant® Moissanite Halo Ring in 14k white gold. It is a dream! The Forever Brilliant® Moissanite is the highest quality stone that is guaranteed to not loose luster. This is an amazing piece that I hope goes to a great home to be cherished for generations!

We are all southern and sweet with today’s Tennessee wedding from Jessie Holloway. With the bride as a clothing designer and lover of vintage, this wedding is the perfect blend of handmade and vintage. She not only made her own gown, but all her bridesmaids’ dresses as well. And I absolutely love her vintage crown veil!
When planning our Fall wedding, every small detail mattered! The 1940’s played a big part in my planning. We shopped at vintage craft shows, antique malls and local boutiques to find unique center pieces and décor. We wanted to mix some old with the new, and the rustic with some modern touches. Even the fabrics from the bridesmaid’s dresses were made out of vintage floral fabrics. I played off of the colors from the dresses for the colors of the flowers and other décor piece.
We had planned on an outdoor wedding but the rain had other plans, so we had to moved the wedding indoors (you know, Plan C). But it turned out to be a perfect beautiful crazy day!
The day started out so crazy, just seeing him made it all come together for me! I loved our photo shoot with Jessie in the creek! After the rain, it just seemed like the perfect thing to do!
As a designer, there were a lot of DIY details. I designed and made my dress along with all of the dress bridesmaids dresses! My girls and I arranged the bouquets and center pieces, and made a lot of the other décor pieces. Friends and family made all the cakes and pies.
Our families and friends were the most important part to our wedding day! We could not have done this without them! They did so much for us; from helping us move everything to the new venue to arranging to bouquets and center pieces. We wanted our wedding to feel like it was all about family!

It’s all fun and flirty for this darling bridal session from Ashley Lester Photography! What’s cuter than a bride in polka dots? I love the retro vibe and summery feel of the whole shoot. The bright big balloon, heart sunglasses, and the vintage coke are the perfect props to pull the look off. And a retro theme wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the soda fountain. Pop’s Ice Cream & Soda Fountain in Roanoke and their signature soda floats were the sweetest way to end the shoot.
