Love the look of a diamond, but worry where it might come from? Moissanite is the best option out there for gemstones that are ethically sourced and conflict free. Charles & Colvard® Moissanite is made in the USA (right in North Carolina!) so you can be confident in your choice. I had the pleasure of getting to visit the company headquarters and it was so much fun to see how these stones are made. Moissanite is man-created pure silicon carbide, who’s hardness rivals that of any mineral on Earth, resulting in an amazing gemstone free of environmental and ethical issues.

The really great part? It is much more affordable than a diamond, so you can still get that look you love without breaking the bank (No, your fiancé does not have to spend 3 months of their salary on an engagement ring). Not only does it have more fire, brilliance, and luster than a diamond, but it is the only other gem that lasts a lifetime. You know here at Glamour & Grace we love heirloom pieces and Moissanite is a great choice to be passed down generations.

I had a tiger's eye cameo ring from my Grandmother that had been passed down on that side of the family since the late 1800s- it was stolen several years ago, which was absolutely heartbreaking.
Halo style, radiant cut Moissanite rings are my absolute favorite style of engagement ring. I would love to win this, and perhaps pass it along in the same way if I have a little girl someday!

Unfortunately I don't have an heirloom piece in my family, my grandmothers never owned nice jewelry and my mother had her diamond ring stolen about five years ago. :( I would love to win this ring to give it to my mother who hasn't been able to afford to replace her missing wedding ring.

My Heirloom piece is from my great grandma passed down from my grandma, it's nothing special just a cheap fake gold ring *that turns your finger green* with a little red stone in it. But I love it so much because of the love and history it brings! I would love to win this and be able to pass both pieces on to my children!

Art Deco engagement ring from my great great grandmother. It's missing the diamond, but it is stunning. I may not leave a legacy or have my name printed in books, but if love to pass down a piece of jewelry to be remembered by my family.

My favorite heirloom piece is a ring my mom picked out in leiu of her class ring. It is a dainty gold ring with a marquise opal center and two tiny diamonds on either side of the opal. I never knew about the ring until my mom passed away and her sister told me the story and how proud my mom was of it. I don't usually wear gold, but I decided to put it on that day, and I never took it off until recently when the opal unfortunately fell out. I would love to have this heirloom piece to pass on to my future generations.

This is beautiful! I like that it's not a round diamond with a halo, as it definitely makes it feel more unique but still part of our time period, where halos are popular! It'd be neat to have this and pass it down to future generations and give them a peak into our present!

It is 5 rows of platinum with alternating diamonds and blue sapphires. I get compliments every day. It is fragile though and it would be nice to have a ring I didnt feel nervous wearing all the time... And when the time comes pass down to my only daughter.

I've always had a problem with the fact that thousands of tonnes of earth must be dug up and destroyed to find one little diamond to put on a girls finger. I've always though man made diamonds are the way to go. I love that they're getting so much more acceptable!

My husband and I have been married for 3 years. We come from very humble families that did not have heirlooms to pass from generation to generation. Before I was pregnant with our first child my husband bought me a pair of diamond earrings. His intent was to pass it down to our first daughter. The Moissanite Halo diamond ring would be a lovely addition to our family tradition.

My wedding ring is actually somewhat heirloom in nature. We chose a new setting for my great-grandmother's diamond solitaire from her wedding ring. I never had the chance to meet her, but I love that I carry a little bit of my family history with me every day. I think it would be amazing for a future generation to have something from me to cherish the same way.

I have a silver ring with a rectangular blue sapphire. It has gold fluer delis on to ends on the stone that connect to the band. It's my absolute favorite piece! In terms of passing THIS ring down for generations- I think the story of winning it would make for a fun story in itself. Imagine your great great granddaughter receiving compliments decades down the road and being able to say "my great great grandmother won it when she was a young lady!" :)

My family had a beautiful antique Tiffany sapphire and diamond ring that had been passed down for 4 generations. The ring was not only stunning but held so much sentiment for me. Unfortunately, it was lost during Hurricane Katrina and it still pains me to think about it to this day. My husband and I got married last summer and couldn't afford an engagement ring. This Moissanite ring took my breath away when I saw it and not only would I love to wear it, but I would love to pass it down to my little girl so that we can start the tradition over again. I moved to Colorado so there will not be a chance of a hurricane taking this one away!

My heirloom piece is a gold coin from Britian that my grandfather gave me when I turned 16. He had it made into a pendant and strung onto a beautiful delicate gold necklace. He was born and raised in London. So the coin represents my British roots. He passed away last March on Saint Patrick's day. Which was beautiful in its own way because my grandmother (they were just about to celebrate 60 yes married) was born in Dublin, Ireland. So now on Saint Patrick's we get to celebrate his life and my other roots.

that piece of jewelry has always been so very precious to me. But especially now in his absence. It makes me feel closer to him when I wear it.

I would love to have a piece like that to pass along to my girls one day. I have two of them. A piece that when they wear, they feel closer to me in my absence.

I do not currently have an heirloom in my family. However, I do have a locket that I cherish and plan on passing down to my niece (I have two boys). The locket was a gift from my Grandfather. He gave it to me when I made my first communion and passed away shortly after. I have held onto that locket ever since. I feel as though lockets aren't as popular anymore but to me they are timeless.

That ring is gorgeous! I would love to help spread the growing trend of man made gemstones!

I don't have any fancy heirloom jewelry, as I don't come from a family with a lot of money. But I do wear a simple gold wedding band 24/7, that my dad gave to my mom when they were married in '77. He passed away a few years ago, and my mom remarried, so she gave it to me. I cherish it almost as much as my own wedding ring. I would love to have this to pass to one of my children when they get engaged. They are always so enamoured with my (much smaller) diamond that I wear now. I can't imagine how they'd feel about this one!

This piece is beautiful and I love that it is conflict free and durable! My favorite heirloom piece is my grandma's wedding band from the 1940's, which has now become my wedding band. She had it on when she passed and it was a gift for me for my wedding. I would love to pass this ring on to my granddaughter someday just as my grandma did for me. It is my most treasured gift from her and not a day goes by where I don't look at it on my finger and think of her.

My favorite piece is a small diamond ring that my great grandmother have my grandma when she turned 16.. It was a ring her mother gave her (and was made in Italy) it has been handed down on 18th birthdays for 4 generations.... It's special meaning is my grandmother gave it to my mother (her in law) when my mom turned 18.. My mother lost her mom when she was 16 and it was a statement that my grandmother truly believed my mom was her daughter ( and she wasn't the first daughter in law) ... I'm not the first girl in our family so the ring has moved on... But I'm a mother to two beautiful that I wish to start thisamazing family tradition with my daughter

I don't actually have any heirloom jewelry! My family, it seems, passes down other things.

When I got married, I wasn't as informed as I am now about diamond alternatives, and as we become more and more comfortable, replacing some of my own pieces with Moisaanite has become something I'd like to do! I would love to pass down a piece that I know the origins of!

I, unfortunately, don't have any heirloom jewelry to hand down to my daughter. I would love to have a beautiful piece such as this ring to pass along to her because more than likely, I will not ever own any heirloom quality jewelry. That doesn't mean I've given up hope though! ;)

This is a beautiful piece and I love that it's ethically sourced.

We don't have a heirloom piece in my family, and with my wedding right around the corner it's something I've thought about a lot. My family heirloom is actually from my boyfriend's grandmother. Being in an interracial relationship can be tough with family and friends alike who may not be as open minded as others to the idea. My boyfriend is from a very small town, and when it was time to meet the family- I was very very nervous. The moment I met his grandmother, she hugged me and told me she loved me. I instantly had a connection with her and was able to have her be apart of my life for 3 years. Before she passed, she gave me a gold necklace that her husband had given her- I wear it every single day.

I would love this ring to have (and to eventually pass down) to show that much like my relationship- although it's not what people are used to, (like a diamond) it can still be just as beautiful.

I have a blue topaz ring that my grandfather gave my grandmother on her wedding day. It has been passed along to the oldest girl of each generation on our wedding day as our something old and something blue. This ring would be a beautiful tradition to pass along with the boys in our family.

I have a rustic wooden kitchen table that my grandfather built that was passed down to me. I love to daydream about all the meals my family has shared around it. I love the idea of a piece of jewelry being passed down as well..something worn on your hand that is present day to day, just like a table in the center of your home.

When my mom passed away, I had to sell her jewelry to be able to care for my daughter who has brain tumors. I can't work because she needs constant care. I always wanted to be able to give her something special for everything she has gone through and will go through. She will be turning 19, has never even had a date. I would love something like this for her so she can know how much I love her and will always put her first, matter what it takes.

Oh my gosh, such a beautiful ring! The only heirloom piece I have now is a jade necklace that my granny passed down to my mom, for me, before she passed on. Just something I cherish as I had so many good memories with my granny growing up in this little small town in Asia. This Moissanite ring on the other hand, is so gorgeous and classic, and would be a fantastic piece of jewellery to match my two custom-made wedding gowns which will be passed down to my future daughter/daughter in law. Am looking forward to that day.

Hi, I am vietnamese and in the far east jade holds great value as diamonds. I have jade heart pendent that was passed down from my great grandmother who brought it over from the war . It was one of the few vaulables she had. I used to go into my mother jewelry box when I was little to wear it and put it back before she catches me in the act. I love it as it has a sentimental meaning. It is still with my mother and I will be wearing it on my wedding day which will be also passed down to my eldest daughter.
I would love the chance to win the ring as I have been with my fiance for 6 years and we plan to get married this summer at our local court house. We dont have an engagement ring as diamonds are too expensive and I will be making my own dress to save money. I used to dream of wearing a big vera wang white dress but as I get older i realise I rather be married to my soul mate and thats enough to make me happy then have a big fancy and wedding just for show.
Who ever wins the ring I how you wear it in good health!
  128. Hoa N
    May 13, 2015 12:58 am

Also I forgot to mention why I would like to pass the ring to my future daughter. As I would lile to show her and teach her the real vaule on important things then what diamonds represent. The moissanite ring will more be more meaningful then the false vaule soicety places on vera wang dresses, diamonds and what ever materialism thing.

    Hi,

I'm guessing I am the only guy on here. LOL. But I will give it a go!

I was told about this give away through a friend, that has introduced me to moissanite.
I am getting married this summer a very small wedding. I never proposed to my fiancé with an engagement ring, I know she is the One as she said is ok with not having a ring. But I feel she deserves more then what I can give her.
We feel a good quality ring would be too expensive and we would rather pay for the wedding services then buy a ring for the same amount.
The ring will mean a lot to her as she is kind of traditional even though she says she's 'modern', and I know secretly inside she would love a beautiful ring and would mean the world to me if I could give this ring to her.

As for family heirlooms I do not know as I am a dude and do not do jewellery but I do have a old coin collection that was given to me after my dad died it is the only thing I have of his that and some old pictures.
If I won the ring I would give it to my future son to give it to his wife as a sentimental piece to pass down.

I have a pair of gold dangle heart earrings that I wear everyday.. My mother was wearing them when she passed away.. I have had them in for 8 years now and only take them off to clean them.. They mean the world to me.. Once one broke and cried my eyes out for days. We got it fixed but I felt lost without it. They are kind of a part of her close to me everyday.. I wouldnt give them up for all the money in the word

My family heirloom pieces are my original wedding bands. One is my great grandmothers anniversary band and the other is my mothers original wedding band. When we got married we didn't have enough money for a nice ring, my mother knew that and parted with hers to give to me. I would love to be able to do the same for my daughter in the future, it meant the world to me and gave me and my mother a very special connection that will last a life time.

I love it because I can picture my grandmother sitting beside me in church when I was a little girl, wearing that ring, like it was yesterday. I always feel close to her when I wear it. I do not have a heirloom piece in the family because none of the generations before me made it a tradition. Although marriages in previous generations have not worked out or there was no jewelry involved, my marriage will be God-centered and fully satisfy the desires in my heart. This piece of jewelry would symbolize a new start to my family because I plan on changing how past marriages have worked out. I would cherish this piece forever wholeheartedly. This piece would be the beginning tradition for generations to come! Did I mention it is my dream wedding ring??? :-) Perfect fit.

I have a ring that belonged to my great grandmother, scattered rubies in a tear drop shape that has a braided gold band. My mother passed away when I was young and my dad recently gave it to me, he couldn't remember the story behind it - I thought the ring had just belonged to my mom, but I wore it around my grandfather and he got so emotional seeing it again and told me its story and how old it was. I loved seeing the reaction that can come from a piece of jewelry. I would love to have a ring that I can pass down to evoke the same memories for my family in the future.

My heirloom piece is the gold and diamond heart necklace my father gave my mother just after they started dating. I wear it almost daily to remind myself of him and will be honored to give it to my daughter one day (unless my Mom asks for it back first!).

    May 13, 2015 12:21 pm

Hi, My favorite heirloom from my family is this vintage wedding band. The first born daughter is given it for her wedding and it is resized for each woman. My grandma gave it to her first born daughter (Aunt Mary Lou) who was 17 years older than my mom, so my Aunt Mary than gave it to my mom on her wedding day. My sister is 10 years older than me so she got it on her wedding day and she has hinted that she would give it to me on my wedding day, but I guess I won't find out for 6 more months! I would love this Radiant Halo ring because for one it is GORGEOUS! I love that it completely conflict free! I have always dreamed about giving my daughter an heirloom. My sister has a daughter so I am not sure if she would give me the wedding band (and I would fully support that decision because my niece is everything to me). But I have always thought that I would give the man who wants to marry my daughter my engagement ring to propose with and this ring couldn't be more perfect for this! Or if he really wanted to buy his own ring for my future daughter than I would offer it as a right hand ring, so she would always have a piece of me & her father with her. If I end up not having a daughter then I would offer the same for my son to give his future bride, nothing is more important than family support, especially when a new family is beginning. This would just be perfect and I couldn't be more elated that you have teamed up with Charles & Colvard for this amazing give away!
    Thank you for the chance!!

Hello. My name is Sonny and though I don't have an heirloom jewelry piece to share with you I would like to share with you why I'd like to win this ring. It's for a great woman I love; a woman I'd like to share the rest of my life with. Her name is Allison and we've only known each other for 4 months now, but the connection we share is incredible. From the moment we talked about family plans on our first date, we knew our pairing was a God-send and we we've spent each day since building upon us as a team. Allison is a wonderful woman. She understands the complexity of a relationship but focuses on the simple things to make it work. We've talked about getting engaged and we're both ready for it. We're just waiting on me to save enough to buy her one. She's told me that she doesn't care about the cost of the ring as it is only a physical representation of what we already know in our minds and our hearts. I've joked with her that perhaps I'd propose to her using a RingPop as I can afford that right now and she's told me she'd say yes no matter what. This is what makes me love her more. Even if I don't win this ring for her, I know we'd be happy and it makes me feel great knowing that. Thank you!

I am very lucky and have a piece that is very special to me. My grandmother and grandfather met during the war, he got called soon after they met. He found a gold cross on the train tracks the day before he left for Peal Harbor and gave it to her. She felt it would be best if he took the cross with him, she told him that the day he brought it back is the day they would get married. The day that Pearl Harbor was bombed my grandfather was in the hospital with heart complications this resulted in him not being killed during the attack. He was able to come home a few months later and returned the cross to my Grandmother; they married a day after his return. She told me this story growing up; she always thought it protected him from loosing his life. She wore the cross till the day she died and then left it to me. I will never forget this story and wear this piece often; it brings me back to my childhood as I saw this piece on her daily. My fiancé and I just got engaged 3 weeks ago, I would love to pass this on to our daughter or granddaughter one day with the hope that she would think of me long after we are gone.

HI, my family doesn't have any heirlooms but my fiance's (Jamie Tripp) family does. She has been talking about giving our future daughter or son her engagement ring, which is why I fell in love with her because family means everything to her. She even is doing a brooch wedding bouquet made of all brooches that her aunt's have given her to honor everyone that is no longer here with us. Her family has a vintage wedding band that they have passed down for generations. I know she would love this piece and would talk about it for the next 80 years we have together! I love her and would do anything for her to win this or even me so I can get down on one knee all over again, with this beautiful ring.
    Thank you,

    Hi there!!
I am one of 23 grandchildren and we are all very tight knit and still to this day have our annual family summer vacation on Cape Cod where all of our parents went as children too!
Our Nana (the matriarch) of the family has the most gorgeous and unique engagement ring that all 13 of the granddaughters covet!
Her ring is made up of five different sized diamonds. One from each of their mothers (my great grandmothers) and one from my Nana's Aunt, the fourth being from my Grandfather which he purchased and the fifth and smallest was FOUND by my grandfather on one of their dates during their courtship at Fenway Park!! The diamond caught my grandfathers eye and the rest is history! Seven kids, twenty-three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and she is still all of our Nana!
So I would love this ring as a story to tell my family and daughter- because I can never get sick of hearing the story behind my Nana's!

My favorite piece of heirloom jewelry is my grandmother's wedding ring. It holds a special place in my heart because one of my favorite things to remember about her is her hands. She made the best tortillas, food, and crafts for us with her hands. I would love to be able to be able to pass down this ring and those same kind of memories to generations of women in my future family!

i don't have a family heirloom piece and would love to have something this gorgeous as the family heirloom. I am from India and affording stuff like this is next to impossible. Plus you don't get anything like these in this country or the neighboring ones. So this means you have to fly half the globe to get this and it adds to the expense. Also i would love this as my engagement ring.Thank you so much for this giveaway and i really hope i win.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a beautiful diamond ring that my grandfather gave my grandmother on their 25th wedding anniversary. He went to the jeweler and picked out 25 diamonds and created the setting. He completely suprised her with it. It was not the largest piece of jewelry in her estate, but she had told me the story behind it and knowing that she cherished that ring makes it priceless to me.

My favorite family heirloom piece is a locket that has been passed down for generations all the way from England. First my mother got it and now my sister has it since she just got married once I get married it will be passed down to me to wear on my wedding day. Moissanite is a family favorite and I prefer it for all of my jewlery. Having this ring to wear along with the beautiful locker when my wedding dag arrives would be nothing short of a blessing.

Unfortunately I do not have an heirloom piece in our family. My entire family and I arrived in the states in 1992. We are from Vietnam, and I am not in CA with my mother’s entire side as well as grandpa side of the family. My father and mother raised us in a tropical farm land, during that time our homes were made of mud clay and we slept on rock hard beds. I was raised as a baby drinking soup from bone marrow instead of milk and formula milk that my mother had went around the village asking for assistance to feed me. Coming from a beyond poverty level of, I do not have any heirlooms that has been passed down. I have no recollection and real memories of my father’s side of the family, and my grandma on my mother side has very minimal belongings, in which she ended up selling to properly feed my 7 uncles and aunts including my mother, brother and I. After some years of my mother establishing herself in the states working as a seamstress at a sweat shop (she continues to have this occupation for the next 24 years), she had purchased me a Vietnamese culture 7 18k gold bracelets. I’ve over grew them after some time, and many times over have my other aunts asked for my jewelry for my younger female cousins (I am the eldest), I have refused as that is my most prized possession. I feel this Moissanite has been the best element close to H2O, diamonds and oxygen. I will cherish this gift until the day I can pass it on to my future generations as I make a mark on this world as a half generation, to also share my story with my future generations and where our heritage came from to learn from our past and instill heritage into the future.

My family heirloom is a beautiful vintage gold ring with three 1/2 ct. Round cut diamonds lined up horizontally. It was passed down to me from my 98 year old great grandmother when she passed away in 2008 and have worn it ever since then but because it barely fits my smallest finger I have always dreamed to use the stones and the gold as a part of my wedding band that I would be able to pass to my one year old daughter after I pass. It is a connection I have between my oldest relative that I want to share with the youngest. I was her first great granddaughter and I would love to pass it on to my first daughter. I have always loved C&C moissanite and have dreamed of receiving one from my daughters father. However, with finishing school this year we are both in a great deal of debt and cannot afford something so luxurious. Receiving this giveaway would make our financial and stress of affording a wedding on top of that so much easier. Thank you for giving people like me such an amazing opportunity!

The heirloom ring that has been passed down in my family is a very simple, yet elegant diamond ring. The band is gold with a small single diamond at the top. My mom received this ring from my grandmother when she was in her teenage years and then my mom passed it on to my sister, who is older than me, when my sister became a teenager. Now, I just need my own piece of heirloom jewelry to pass on to my future children ;)

My family does not have an heirloom piece, sadly. My grandmother came from a poor family from the Midwest and has only recently been able to fulfill her love of jewelry. However, my mother has a beautiful princess cut ring with rubies that are embedded in the band. It is beautiful and she plans on handing this down to the first of my sisters to get married. It's a constant topic for our family and how exciting this tradition will be for many generations to come.
To have this beautiful wedding ring to pass to my daughters to start our own tradition would be the greatest gift in the world. I can only imagine the happiness that this ring could bring to my future children and their children. Thank you for this opportunity

My favorite heirloom piece is from my husband. He set a new sapphire beside an old miner cut diamond from his mom's side and another diamond from his dad's side. Gave the three-stone ring to me just before we were married. So thoughtful and so beautiful!

First, this ring is so beautiful. I nearly gasped when I saw it. And then to find out I could have a chance of this being mine. What a surprise!

Before I describe my favorite heirloom piece, I must tell you about the woman that it came from. My grandmother's name is Jane. And my grandmother was born in the 1920s and is a solid beauty inside and out. She is from a country once called Czechoslovakia. My grandmother, who was raised Catholic and came from a privileged family met the love of her life in high school. Which is how this amazing heirloom came into the picture.

Some would say that her and her love are nearly star-crossed lovers. The love of her life, Albert, came from a poor family and was raised Jewish. For these two to be together it was nearly forbidden back in the 1940s. However, Albert courted her and wrote her letters during his time overseas in WWII and Jane met the ideal man but he didn't make her smile the way Albert did. And once he returned, he bought her the most beautiful timeless diamond ring. And despite both families disapproving of this relationship, Jane said yes.

Neither family was willing to compromise or let one or the other convert. This did not stop them in their quest to be together. They held two ceremonies -- a catholic and a jewish ceremony. And they always find a silver lining, by saying "aren't we lucky, we get two days to celebrate our love?"

This diamond ring is not just an heirloom, it's a testament of unconditional love. That neither religion nor money could stop. My grandparents are still alive and together and actually more in love then ever.

I hope this story is able to shine a little light on true love.

My most prized heirloom piece is a simple white gold band that was my nana's wedding band from my papa. I would love this Moissanite ring as it would compliment my nana's band perfectly, and would make a complete set to pass on to my daughter, and so on!

    Fingers crossed!

My favorite and only heirloom piece is a tiny thin gold necklace from my great-grandmother. I plan to wear it on my wedding day, which will be extra special because I am too chicken to wear it normally for fear of losing it. I would also LOVE to win this piece because my boyfriend of almost seven years and I are saving up for an engagement ring and I would love to take the price burden off of him.

    Hello!

My great aunt gave my mom a bag of jewelry from her collection which she gave me! My great aunt used to be sharpest woman on the block from head to toe! I've got a bag of unique, eccentric yet beautiful pieces! My favorite is a chunky pearl necklace which I plan to wear as my "something old" in my wedding!!!!

I absolutely love the ethical standards of this ring...it ties in perfectly with my life and my soon to be wedding!

I can't wait to be the sharpest one on my block and leave a legacy that my great nieces can cherish for generations to come! *SQUEALS WITH EXCITEMENT!*

My favorite family heirloom is the vintage Hollycraft necklace and earrings that belonged to my mom's grandmother. It's not very valuable, but the blue and purple bi-color rhinestones in it are gorgeous and you can't put a price on sentimental value. A rhinestone fell out a few years ago and I've been looking for a replacement stone ever since. I would love an heirloom-quality piece like this to pass down in my family!

Hello! Family is a very important aspect in my girlfriend's and my life! We have one special heirloom that has been passed down in my family for many generations, however, being the youngest son, it will not be passed on to me. My older sister was given it on her wedding day. This ring is exactly what my girlfriend would want as an engagement ring as well as a ring to pass on to her children one day! This would be a beautiful start to an heirloom for the family I would like to start with my girlfriend and I know it will be a timeless piece for the future generations of our children and grand children and great grand children and more! I would be over the moon to be able to use this unique moissanite ring to propose to my girlfriend because I know she loves radiant cut rings and this is more unique than any diamond ring I have seen! Thank you for the opportunity to enter into this contest!

My favorite piece of heirloom jewelry is a turquoise ring from my grandmother. I was never able to create lasting memories with her due to her passing away when I was five. Even though I do not have a lot of memories of her, the ones I have I truly treasure just like the ring I was fortunate enough to receive. My favorite family heirloom jewelry piece is a ring my aunt had made out of the gold of my uncle's wedding band after his death. She then had a sapphire stone that we had mined together on a trip to the mountains cut, polished, and set on the band. So incredibly special!! My aunt and uncle did not have children together, and they feel almost like adoptive parents to me. I love that I have a piece of jewelry that belonged to them in different ways. I would love to have this Moissanite ring to pass down to future generations in my family so that others can experience the same feeling I have whenever I look down at my aunt/uncle's ring...it is wonderful to feel so connected to other generations, including people who are no longer with us on Earth.

I so wish that I did have a family heirloom to pass. I do have a Silver Dollar that was given to me at birth from our church pastor. It is dated 1879, and has always meant so much to me. This ring is so beautiful and would be perfect to pass to my granddaughter, Britlyn, she is only two but she loves any ring that she sees me wearing. Growing up, my Aunt always gave us at Christmas, some jewelry. I always took very special care of mine. I would want those pieces to be passed to someone in the family that would understand that although they may not be of much money value, to me they are priceless.

The vase has been the show stopping center peice in my hutch since it was passed on to me. <3

saving to pass down to my two kids and my grandkids. But unfortunately, a relationship that was ending my ex destroyed or gave away all my personal belongings and those were with them. So, winning this ring would be great for me to wear now, and something that I could give to my oldest Granddaughter when she gets older.

My grandmother gave me my first piece of jewelry when I turned 12. It was a beautiful filigree gold ring with a small diamond in the center. Her father had given it to her mother while they were dating. Even though it is not very valuable, it is the most treasured piece of jewelry that I own. I always felt honored that she had trusted it to me.

My favorite herilum piece of jewelry was a beautiful onxy center stone with halo diamond. It was passed on from my great grandmother to my grandmother to my mother and what would have eventually been mine. A few years before I got married my mother told me she had to sell it because she and my father ran into financial difficulties. I was sad but quickly got over it. I would love to start the tradition again and pass this on to my daughter so she can pass it on to hers and so on.

It's tragic that you only get the "good" jewelry when someone dies. Especially if that "someone" is your mother. I got her wedding and engagement rings, which are of course, my favorite. But the other piece of jewelry i got from my mother was on my wedding day, my father had a long talk with me about how he wished my mom could be there to witness the wonderful occasion. Since she had passed away, I knew she was looking down on me from above. For my "something blue," my father gave me my mother's sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet he bought her for their 25th anniversary present. THAT is my favorite piece passed down to me because it represents true love that lasted long after my mom died.

In the understanding, you may or may not consider this an item that's part of an heirloom; I was blessed with a postcard.I know that it's not much and that my family cannot afford the nice things though there is still the memories and smiles that they tried to have on their faces. But, we have lost so much in that of friends, family and items within our home in that of recent events. Even the passing of my grandparents left us very little as they didnt have much as strokes & heart attacks resulted in many visits to & stays at the hospitals. Moreover, it's the result of medical bills caused by an accident - where a driver backed into me as I was walking - it was found that she had no insurance on the vehicle, the van didnt belong to her and she has never checked to see how I am doing. This resulted in me being diagnosed with RSD / CRPS and made me have to stop working my primary income job because the pain is so intense. It does not seem like much to some, but this ring (should I win) would symbolize the everlasting love that each of us has for one another. My mother once owned (till it went missing and has NOT reappeared) a piece that she worked so hard to save and afford for herself, it's something special, a gold ring with a dark red stone on the circumference and lighter as they went in all forming a heart. But I have a choice of 2 purposes for this ring because I love my mother it would go to her or I might use it to propose to a very special female that I hope to always have in my life! I would love to win this and be able to keep both woman in my life happy, but I cant afford a wedding ring because of my disability!

I have to say that my favorite jewelry piece would be a bracelet with my grandfathers name engraved in it. He made it himself. I never had the chance to meet him as he died when my mother was 17. I hold on to it now to keep a piece of my history with me. This ring would mean the world to me. I am a mother of two and when we seem to finally have enough money to buy a ring something happens to where my ring money gets put some where else, haha the sacrifices we make for our babies! My fiancee and I would love to have a step closer to a wedding and this would be a perfect fit. Then the thought of passing it to one of my girls, is just beyond wonderful. They would cherish it just like I cherish my grandfathers bracelet.

The only thing I really have that could actually be called a heirloom piece is a pearl necklace but my mom nor dad aren't sure whose it is. It is either my dad's moms, aunts, or great aunts. It was in a jewelry box they found at my grandmother's house but she had received jewelry from her mother and a couple of her sisters who passed away before her. We had never seen my grandmother wear it so we are assuming it is probably my grandmother's moms or sisters. They are a lovely pink pearl stranded necklace and I have my grandmother's family ring because nobody else wanted it and it was so close to my family's stones.

I would leave this heirloom piece to a animal organization. I have no children and my stepdaughters never gave me a chance. The stepdaughters think that if you are not spending money on them then they do not want to have any thing to do with them. I would have to help the animals or some one who would appreciate very much this is a beautiful ring. My husband is the only one to deserve this, but he would say help the animals.

My mother had the most beautiful diamond wedding band. I loved it. I also had one (did not compare). She knew how much I loved hers. She would pretend hers hurt her fingers & would slip it to me to swap for a while, just so I could wear it. After her funeral, the funeral director came to me with her ring. He said he had specific instructions that the ring be removed from her hand and placed on mine. This is my treasure. A treasure that makes my heart sing every time I look at it. So, so special.

    May 17, 2015 12:58 am

While there is no heirloom jewelry in my family, this is the *perfect* way to start that tradition! See, my boyfriend and I have been wanting to become engaged for a while now, but we've been down on our luck financially and he hasn't been able to swing a proposal. I've told him that I just need him -- that he can get a ring out of a gumball machine and I'll be happy.

However, he would not be able to live with himself if he didn't propose with a proper engagement ring. So, we wait... And wait... And wait, for the one thing we both want most in this world. A forever and LEGAL tie to each other! I've always said money ruins everything and it's so so true -- at least in my experience.

Here's my point: this ring could be a placeholder until he can follow his dreams of buying me the perfect one. And because of that it'd be too precious to ever sell or get rid of in any way. One day we can tell this story to our first born son, about being down on our luck with money and what the ring represented for our future... And he can put that ring on his soulmate's finger and tell her the story... Etc, etc.

This sounds truly like the most wonderful thing that could happen for us right now! And... I know he'll love it and go for it. Also, there's the teeny tiny matter of it being beautiful in every way and the perfect size for my engagement ring finger. Just sayin'. But since I know the chances of winning this are one in a million... I know we will get married one day, we just need to have patience!

Thank you for your generous giveaway! You are truly a beautiful soul :)

My mother had the most beautiful antique diamond band. It was set in platinum in a scroll pattern. I also had an antique band, but not as elaborate. I loved her band and she knew how much. She liked to play a game with her ring. She would pretend it hurt her finger and would want to swap rings just so I could wear hers for a week or so. She died at age 72. After her funeral, the funeral director came to me with her ring. He had specific instructions to take her ring off her finger and put it on my finger. There are no words to describe my emotions.

Moissanite is something I have watched for a long time, just yearning for a nice ring. This ring is the most beautiful I have seen. It too, will be a special heirloom.

I am so in love with this ring. We have been searching for something that fits the budget yet is something I will love and cherish forever. My mother is passing down her wedding rings to my sister and I when the time comes, I never had the chance to get any jewelery passed down from further generations. I would love to be able to pass this down throughout the family, goddaughter, daughter, grandchild. This is an amazing opportunity to enhance and change someone's life. I hope whom ever receives this beautiful gift feels truly blessed and continues to bless others with this lovely heirloom.

I don't have an heirloom piece, but I received a black diamond ring for my 21st birthday which I know will be passed to my children in time. I have a kunzite ring which I received for my 18th birthday but I can't imagine parting with it, even for my future children! It's discolouring, and kunzite is known to fade over time so it's almost colourless but my hand doesn't look right without it!

I first met my fiance 7 years ago. We were only 19 years old. We fell in love and decided to start a life together. We are not married at the moment because a series of unfortunate events decided to come for us and leave us in a bit of a struggle.
About 3 years ago I fell pregnant, very shortly after finding out I miscarried. My doctor advised me that I would have an extremely low chance , pretty much no chance at all of having a child. Of course that broke our spirits. We picked ourselves back up and relied on the big guy upstairs to guide us to where we should be.
Today I stumbled across this site just browsing at what I can only see in my dreams.
And today, I am 7 1/2 months pregnant with my baby girl, Juliette Vale. This ring will a clear gift and a reminder for my daughter that she is a true miracle. This ring will resemble the bond within our family for generations.

My mother has inherited my grandmothers 2 carat diamond ring. It is just beautiful, This ring will be given to me on her passing (which I am in no hurry for it). There is nothing better than a diamond as a forever remembrance of our loved ones. Problem is I have 2 boys and I would love to be able to give each of them a ring to pass on to future generations. That ring shown is absolutely stunning and I would love to wear it first.

I would love to win this ring for several reasons. Ive never had a piece of family heir loom jewelry and I don't have any real jewelry anymore because I sold it to keep my house when I lost my job. Both of my grandmother's died at the beginning of March, dad's mom March 5th and mom's mom on March 7th. My boyfriend and I want to get engaged but currently can't afford the ring or the wedding as we both r going thru very hard times and working part time jobs at min wage to just try and stay afloat. To win this ring would be TRUELY amazing and mean so much to both my boyfriend and I as well as get us from boyfriend/girlfriend to engaged.

I have been saving for an engagement ring for my girlfriend of 6 1/2 years, but every time I have enough for a moissanite ring, something comes up. She is so sweet to understand that we have had to wait due to our financial situation. This would be so amazing to give to her and I know she would just love it. She was even my first kiss! My favorite family heirloom piece is a turquoise ring set in 14 k gold that has been passed down for over 100 years through the trail of tears my great grandmother walked with our Choctaw natives. It has so much meaning and power knowing how much it went through all these years. I am very proud. I would love to give this to my mom who has her wedding ring stolen 2 months ago when she left it on a sink in a hotel. She was only gone 1 minute before she realized it was gone. It was my dads 33 year anniversary present to her and it had not been insured yet.

My favorite heirloom jewelry piece are my great-grandmama's silver & turquoise earrings. I remember my grandmama wearing them and they looked so beautiful hanging from her ears. I always wanted them! But when I found out they were my great-grandmama Sara's, that made them so m.yuch more special to me. My grandmama only wore them on special occasions and thst they belonged to two of the BEST women I have ever known makes them all the more special.

    This ring is absolutely gorgeous!

My favorite heirloom piece is a double-strand pearl and rhinestone necklace I inherited from my great-grandmother. I wear it on many special occasions and even plan on it being my "something old".

I would love to have this ring as an heirloom item to pass on because it is a beautiful, classic piece and would be a very special gift.

The only heirloom that I have is from my grandmother who passed away many years ago. It's a simple pearl necklace but to me it's the most beautiful pearl necklace I've ever seen. I used to play dress up and wear it when I was allowed. This ring would be something I would pass down to my daughter. She's just leaving for college which is already breaking my heart and is one of the special moments that I will have with her but when she gets married it will be one of the most special moments besides the day she was born and I would love to give her something that will be a part of me that she can always carry with her when I'm not there. I don't have many things that I could pass down to her but this would give me such a great chance to do that. This wouldn't just be a simple ring to give her, it would mean so much more. Thankyou for the opportunity to maybe get that chance.

My mom actually bought me a diamond heart pendant when I graduated from college. She said that since I was moving out of state the heart represents that her heart will always be over mine. It means the world to me and now that I have a two year old daughter everyday, without fail, she kisses my heart pendant that sits nicely on a necklace that I never take off and says I love you Mami Didi (my mom). I will one day pass it along to her with the same amount of love as I will always be with her right over her heart. This ring would be a great addition to this new tradition! It is jaw dropping beautiful!

My grandma was an amazing artists. She created beautiful cakes, blankets, ceramic pieces, and much, much more. She promised me that she would make my wedding cake and help with anything that I needed when I got married when I was a young girl. My grandma passed away from cancer 7 years ago, and this year I get married. I was really missing my grandma as I approached my high school graduation. As a gift, my aunt gave me a few of my grandmas jewlery pieces. One was a beautiful amethyst bracelet that I plan on wearing at my wedding on August. I'd love to have a piece of jewlery to pass down to my daughter someday.

I was given my grandmothers pearls after she passed. I wear them almost every day and they have kind of become a trademark for me. I am the only granddaughter on both sides of the family and my father the only son, that being said my aunts kind of swooped in and took everything besides the pearls because my father found them later when he was cleaning out their home. This would be a lovely ring to wear as a wedding ring some day if my boyfriend decides to ask me to be his wife or as a right hand ring if I stay single! The thought of actually getting to give it to my son to propose to his future wife or to my daughter to wear is exciting in so many ways because I have not had children yet!

Wow! This ring is so very beautiful! I've never seen anything like it. Well he is my story.....I only have 1 child that this ring could be passed to. This child is a male or I guess I should refer to him as a Man now. I always said I would never have another child unless they could guarantee me a girl. As we all know that has never been possible. My son has his first child and they were never married or even had much of a relationship. So my next possibility is with my son and DIL. They are . The first grandchild lives in TX, just a couple of hours from me. Such a great I always said I would never have another child unless they could guarantee me a girl. As we all know that has never been possible. . My son marries my DIL and they live in WA state. Here comes grandchild #2, a boy. He is a wonderful and very handsome boy. YEA another baby on the way. This one is a girl, I just know it! Grandchild # 3 and it's A BOY!!!! My son and DIL have a tough choice whether to try for another or??? Well grandchild #4 is born and it's a GIRL!!!! I'm thrilled however I have never met her nor Grand-baby #3. WA state is a long way from TX. I would love to leave her this ring as a way to remember me. Thank you for reading.

A dispute between my family and my grandmother's husband after my grandmother passed, caused a huge rift. All the heirlooms and jewelry she did have, her husband kept/sold. I didn't receive any before she passed, and didn't get to have any keepsakes afterwards. I would love this ring, to give to someone as an heirloom when I'm older, because it'd be nice to be able to give someone something nice to remember you by. I know that it made me sad to go without, and I wouldn't want that for the next generations of my family.

She is only 1 but I have a ring that was passed down from my grandmother and now that she is gone....I feel she is with my always and its a tradition that is fading away....I want my beautiful grand daughter to feel the traditions passed from generation to generation...to feel the morals and love to be passed on to her children.... To have history behind the ring...stories to tell her children and her grandchildren... To keep traditions and generation linked together hand in hand....

I received a broach when I had my first born. The broach is hand made by my great great great grandpa for my 3great grandmother on there 10th wedding anniversary. It was re-gifted to my 2great grandmother at the birth of her first child. A letter came with it describing how much love went in the making of this broach. How it is to be worn on special days to know you are beautiful and loved. It is to be looked at when times are hard to remember the thankful things. I can't wait to re-gift it to one of my girls when they have a first born. But I can wait because my oldest is only 8. ? it would be amazing to have such a beautiful ring to wear and one day write a story about it to pass on for many generations to come. ?

I do not have any heirloom jewelry due to a jealous relative stealing a ring that was to be passed down to me from my great grandmother..after years of trying and lots of medication, we are finally having our first baby girl and I would love to have a beautiful ring to pass on to her someday :)

There are not enough words to do this ring justice. It's beautiful and such a gorgeous setting. I don't have any heirlooms. My parents passed away when I was 11 and I grew up in foster homes. This would be a wonderful way to start a heirloom with my daughters. It would mean a lot to me to have something to pass down to them and know it will be passed on again.

When my grandmother died in 2003, she left me her watch. It is one of those vintage watches that has a flexible band and extra large numbers on it. I wear it on special occasions. If I were to win this ring I would pass it down to my daughter who is in her second year of college. I would want her to have something special for her to remember her mother just as I have with my grandmother.

My heirloom piece is my mothers eternity ring my father gave her, he died at the age of 36 from leukemia. When i reached 23 i moved to the USA from England, my mother insisted i have their Eternity ring as i was the first born. This ring has never left my finger. And i will pass it down to my first born daughter. At the moment i have this ring on my wedding finger as i havent one since getting married, nor did i have an engagement ring lol. I would love to win this amazing, gorgeous ring to be my engagment ring. And when i come to the end of my road or my daughter is like me and leaves to another country or city i will give her, her first heirloom. ??

My Mamaw passed away a few years ago she was 88, before her passing she was in a nursing facility. A few days before her passing she kept asking for her watch all day that day. So I finally told her I would go get it and that I did I went to her house and got it and took it back to her and she said that's not the one I want it was hers but she was really forgetful the last few days. She said you can have it from that day forward that watch has become apart of my everday style I don't feel complete without and it maybe an old sliver strech band watch without a dial on it And it may not be made of diamonds or have a name brand in the middle of it and may not tell time anymore!! But when I look at it, It will always remind me of the wrist it once hugged and how grateful I am to have called her my Mamaw. I hope to one day leave my grandkids something that will be a constant reminder of my love..

My grandmother had a beautiful green emerald ring that was surrounded with diamonds and gold band, unfortunately when she died the ring disappeared. I think one my other family members got the ring and sold or pawned it. This made me very upset as this ring had belonged to my great grandmother and was one of many family heirlooms that I'll never be able to pass down to my kids. Getting this beautiful ring would mean a lot to me as it's something that I can pass onto my children as a family heirloom.

My favorite heirloom piece of jewelry is my great grandmother's ring. When my parent's got engaged, they did not have a lot of money. So my mom's grandmother gave her her wedding ring to use. My mom made my dad promise for their 25th wedding anniversary that she would get her own ring. So for 25 years she wore my great grandmother's ring and it will be passed down to me. I would love to win this ring, because it is one of my favorite styles. It would be a wonderful piece to pass on to future family members.

I have an old sterling silver ring from my mom that I will leave to my granddaughter. I've given my first engagement diamond to my son for his fiancé. By winning this ring, I will leave it for my daughter/in-law, so she can passed her ring on to her son's (my grandson) fiancé. Oh what a joy it would be to have my ring become a family heirloom. You picked a gorgeous ring to give away. Just as this ring would be a blessing for generations to come, I pray blessings on this company because of your generosity for generations to come. IJN, Amen.

My family has a ring that is of a little silhouette. This was handed down 3 generations until recently, my mother passed away two months ago before they could be handed down. My aunt, being in charge of everything, will hopefully pass it down to me. But I have a daughter of my own whom I want to start something special with because there is no greater feeling than receiving something that your momma owned!

I have a yellow gold custom cat's eye ring. In the 1930s, my grandma was playing in her yard and found the stone. When she and my grandpa got married, she presented him with cat's eye cuff links she had made just for him. He got upset that he didn't have a special gift for her. My grandma smiled at him and handed him the ring she designed for him to give to her lol. This ring has only been lost once, around 1988. My mom thought she lost it and offered us kids $50 if we found it. She found it the next day. In 2009 I had major surgery. My mom flew from Washington to take care of me. When I woke up from anesthesia, she gave me the ring. I have 2 amazing daughters but only one heirloom so far and this would be an amazing one to pass on :)

My favourite heirloom piece of jewellery is a bracelet from my grandma Evalia.
I never met my grandma, she passed away suddenly when my dad was 13.
My dad doesn't have many memories of her,but one memory is of her always wearing a turquoise bracelet.he would play with it on her wrist. When she passed, all of her stuff got boxed up and he assumed sold at a garage sale. He was never able to find any item of hers to cherish.
About 10 years ago,my grandpa passed. We were packing up his belongings when my dad came across a heart shaped box he had never seen before. In the box was the bracelet! Literally the only item of hers in the whole house, happened to be his favourite memory of his mom. He gave it to me and I wear it everyday. I love when people ask me about it and I get to talk about the special lady behind it.
I would love this piece to pass down from generation to generation. Jewellery not only looks beautiful, but has beautiful memories that come along with it. I would love my great great granddaughter to have this on her finger and cherish who it came from. Even if we never met. It would lead to a great story and great memories.

I am happily married with 3 children. My husband and I had a civil wedding and it will be our 10th year wedding anniversary this year..... Unfortunately, I never had an engagement ring. He said he will buy me one, but after having children, mortgage and bills that come along with a growing family....buying an engagement seemed to fall on the bottom of the priority list. I have the honor of my great grandmothers wedding ring set from 1914 being passed down to me. It's white gold with a princess cut diamond. It's stunning however it hasn't fit me in some time and I had to have it cut off my finger. My boyfriend and I have been together 6 years now and have talked about marriage. He is in the metal machine trade and works with carbide so this would be an excellent ring for him to put on my finger that I could one day pass down to our grand daughter.

I do own a piece of heirloom jewelry. It is a very small ring with a very small diamond and was bought from a sears catalog in 1892. Unfortunately, It was damaged when I was younger. I was trapped under water, by a rock that fell on my hand. After a few minutes I was able to free myself. However the ring was smashed onto my finger. After a few hours and a lot of family efforts my ring was removed, it is now a small reminder of a near drowning, not something I wish to pass down. If I were to be the lucky winner of this ring, I would make it my wedding ring. I have been married to a wonderful man for 10 years. He had always wanted me to have a beautiful ring, but unfortunately life has not been so kind to us. I would wear it until my husband is called away from me to serve another purpose, and then I would pass it down to my daughter who is about to deliver my granddaughter....and she could pass it along herself someday. We do not own much, but such things are not counted in the long run. Love is the way...and truth is the light! Good luck to all as well as myself, and thank you very much for the chance.

Thank you for the chance to win. I was blessed with my great grandmother's engagement ring. I plan on passing it down to one of my daughters one day. I would love to have another ring to pass down to my other daughter or one of my future daughter in laws or future grandchildren. I lost my own mom to cancer when I was pregnant with my oldest and family is very important to me. This ring is so beautiful and reminds me of a much bigger version of my grandmother's ring which we were never ever to find after her passing.

This is a beautiful ring It reminds me of a ring my mother gave to me that was lost. The difference is that it had emeralds around it.

I don't have any family heirlooms, passed down or to pass down. Four years ago when we were saving for a house, I sold my wedding rings. I deeply regret it now, and with our 10 year anniversary this August I am hoping to get a new one. This ring would be an amazing gift to me.

    May 24, 2015 7:57 pm

I don't have any heirlooms in my family so I'm gonna have to be the one who begins the tradition it would seem. Unfortunately, my last grandmother and person I was closest to passed away two years ago the day before my birthday and I don't even have a prospective groom in my life now or even anytime since I've had my daughter. It is going to take someone very special to be a part of our lives and until he comes along it is just the two of us against the world it feels like. I would surely fall upon my knees and weep if I were to win this beautiful ring I would turn into our family heirloom for sure! I've always liked and been drawn to vintage diamond rings anyways, instead of new... So much life!

I have my mother's wedding ring set. It is in pieces; yet still cherished.

Having such a beautiful heirloom piece of jewelry, as this ring is, would be the perfect way to begin a generations-long passing on of dreams and love.. beginning with my granddaughter.

This truly is the most magnificent and breathtaking piece of jewelry that I have ever set eyes on.

My favorite heirloom jewelry is my grandmothers pearls. I wore them to prom and they are a piece of her I will always treasure. My grandmother raised me and was my world. When I lost her I felt like I lost everything. Every time I run my fingers over the pearls I think of her smile and what a amazing person she was and always will be.

I had a beautiful wedding set that my grandmother passed to my Mom when she passed away. And then my Mom unfortunately passed away in 1997 and the ring was passed down to me. It was absolutely gorgeous, 3 carats of diamonds on a white gold ring. I had a family member steal it from me so now I have nothing to pass down to my daughter. Needless to say, I would love to win this so that I could have something to pass down to her when I pass away. It would be amazing if I win this gorgeous ring,.

For my 18th birthday my great Aunt gave me a beautiful gold bangle bracelet that has become a piece of heirloom jewelry for me. My Aunt lives in a house that was built in the early 1900s. A few years ago she was remodeling the kitchen and during the demolition found several small antiques hidden in one of the walls, including my bracelet. We took it to an antique store and they estimated that it was made in the mid 1910s. This piece of jewelry came into my belonging so unexpectedly and with such a cool story behind it. I can't wait to pass it onto my future children. I only wish I knew the story of how and why it got hidden in the first place! I absolutely love moissanite and would love to have another piece with an awesome story behind it to pass down.

I have a turn of the century gold ring with a red stone with no visible prongs holding it. In addition, it is unique in that there are hallmarks on the inside of the ring. It was given to me by my mother who received it from her husband's aunt. We believe she got it in England in the late 1800's. I would love to have a ring of your quality to hand on to my daughter's and granddaughter's to have a lasting memory also.

I love this ring! I have never tried moissanite-too pricey for me. I watch it all the time on Jewelrytelevision (JTV). I would be beyond ecstatic to have this ring! I have 2 favorite heirloom pieces: a 3 strand pearl bracelet from my mother and a 14k peridot ring from my grandmother. I have had to sell some jewelry because of money being tight-but I will NEVER sell those 2 pieces!

My grandaddys' dog tags from WW2. He fought hard for his name engraved on those tags, and as he placed them in my hand as he left this world. That day I fought hard as I knew my life would be dedicated to God, for one day I will see him again. Hopefully dog tags in hand once again.

    May 25, 2015 10:41 am

I have yet received my favorite heirloom since my grandmother is still thriving with her ring shining beautifully on her left hand. I am promised the ring and dread the day I am forever placed as the new owner. The ring is a simple setting, with one small stone. Most would never give a second look, but the 57 years of marriage represented by those stones cannot be overlooked. I will cherish the day I am able to wear the ring, and cry in lonesome for she will no longer be with me. Winning a ring as special as the one pictured is not my grandmother's ring, but will be an heirloom I pass on to my daughter.

This ring will give both of us a chance to really show off the kind of engagement ring he wanted me to have whe he popped the question. My grandmother passed away when I was a teenager. When her children divided up her lovely jewelry collection, my dad graciously made himself absent from that meeting and allowed his five siblings to have what they wanted. I remember my grandmother always wearing elegant pieces; looking polished was important to her. I will not be an heir of her jewelry, though I've inherited her demeanor, her love of the arts, and her affinity for the color red. The ring pictured above is elegant like my grandmother's style--timeless and classic--and reminds me of the sweet memories I have of her.

This is an awesome ring. I have friend that got married last year and the ring that she got for her engagement was cut off her finger immediately after she got engaged. She was heart broken and couldn't get it fixed because of where they cut the ring. She hasn't been able to afford a new one yet because they just had 2 boys...I would love to win this ring and give it to him, so that he can surprise my friend with it.

Most of my family's heirloom jewelry was lost with moves from overseas to the USA in the early 1900s. When my grandmother passed away about 20 years ago, most of her belongings were spread among the family. I was just a small girl and missed out on claiming any items to remember her by, other than one small locket. The pearl finish, tarnished and the handpainted flowers worn -- I cherished this locket with my heart and soul. I still do, but I desperately want to have something for my own kids to pass down. My husband made me a ring with a very limited budget before we were married. He could've proposed with a 10 cent ring and I would've been happy. I wear his creation with pride. I've always been interested in conflict free diamonds, and have never opted to wear diamonds which I cannot be certain of their origin. This is an amazing opportunity to have a beautiful piece to pass to my kids someday. I would wear it with pride and honor. :)

I don't think it's considered heirloom jewelry but it's a .925 silver ring with oval Tanzanite stone. It's the only ring I've worn for more than 25 years. It's a ring my father gave me just after my daughter was born in 1989, he only lived to her 3rd birthday. In 1992 he was in hospital very sick with congestive heart failure but made sure he came home Xmas eve just to see his granddaughter open her gifts from "santa", sadly the day after Xmas he was having trouble breathing and passed away in ambulance on way to hospital. But the ring is a constant reminder of him loving my daughter/his granddaughter so much that he literally sacrificed his life to see her happiness R.I.P DAD

I inherited quite a bit of jewelery after my grandmother died. Including a ring that belonged to my great-uncle and has been passed down for we think close to 120 years. Sterling silver with monogrammed initials. I still wear it almost daily.

I'd love to win this ring. My boyfriend and I live together and plan to marry and have children, but won't be able to afford a ring for we don't know how long. Which is disheartening since ideally I'd like to get married before my grandfather passes away, since he's been able to witness all the other weddings and births of his grandchildren.

My husband lost his job almost two years ago due to lay offs. The only way we have been able to make it so far is because of my daughters help. We will no doubt lose our home soon because it is hard to find jobs at his age. . In the meantime we have had a phone, utilities, and food. As I write this, with tears in my eyes, I think of handing this to her and telling her it is all I have to thank her for everything she tried to do. The ring is as beautiful as she is. I love you baby girl. ?

I absolutely love this. When I was little, all of my grandmother's family pieces were stolen from her home. Because of this, we do not have any family pieces for me or my sister to pass down to our children. I would love to see this used by my grandmother, then mother, then myself or my sister before we pass it to onto the next generation in my family. I think it would be a great way to restart the tradition of passing down family jewelry to children once they graduate from high school! Thank you!

I only have my great grandmother costume jewelry. She passed away. I had a engagement ring but I lost a bunch of weight due to health issues and my ring got to big. I put it in my purse when we were at the hospital due to my Uncle passing away and in all of the frenzy I didn't want it to fall off and loose in the hospital. My low life cousin stole it and I never recovered it. The police couldn't help. I took police reports to jewelers and pawn shops and nothing. During this time my fiance had lost his job and he is vowing to replace it. This would be a great gift.

I don't have the honor of owning a heirloom piece of jewelry, nor do I have an engagement ring to pass down for generations. My husband propose to me 3 years ago on a hot summer day in August at my first concert Old Crow Medicine show (I will be 30 this year and yes that was my FIRST concert :D) and the all time famous and my number one favorite song of all time was playing " Wagon Wheel". He didn't have a ring that day. It just kinda happened. I am a very romantic person. I'm passionate about many things and being from North Carolina this kinda tugged at my heart strings. It's a beautiful ring and I've told my husband that when we decide to afford a ring. I will pass it down to my First son to give to his love.

My prized heirloom piece of jewellery is a ring with small damaged emeralds. It's not worth much money but it's worth so much to me because it was my great aunt Hilda's. I love it as it's my birthstone and it came from a woman who was very special to me and taught me so much. She never married and I heard a story that she had a love who was killed and although she never told me, I always wondered if this was an engagement ring since she wore it lots hence the damage to the stones. This halo ring would be a beautiful piece to pass down with my great aunt's ring.

I do not have any heirloom pieces of jewelry. I did have my great grandfather's gold pocket watch, but someone broke into our house and stole it along with several thousands dollars worth of items. The thief also trashed our house and did a lot of damage. The watch that they stole had great sentimental value to me.

i have this fantastic white gold ring that my great great Grampa found at the beach. And the amazing part about this ring is that one of the four prongs that holds the diamond in place had broken off and the diamond was able to slip out but was still in its place when he found it. The prongs have been fixed and been passed down through or family!

The ring is simply brillant. It catches your eye with it's simple elegance. I have an amethyst piece that belonged to my great aunt. We share the same birthstone. I would love to have this ring wear daily and perhaps give to my son one day for his future spouse. It's very appealing to know as you start a new part of your life, its with a piece of jewelry that does not come from conflict.

I don't have any family heirlooms my family is limited. Owning this beautiful ring would be a great way to pass down a lovely piece of history to one of my twin daughters (which ever one got engaged first). My boyfriend and I've been together for 3 1/2 years winning this ring would get him off the hook of buying me one which is the reason I suspect we aren't engaged yet.

We don't have any heirloom jewelry in my family, however this beautiful ring would be the perfect piece to start with and my second anniversary is coming up, so it'd be an absolute honor to win.

I have a Bulova watch that my mother-in law gave me more than 40 years ago. I have already passed it down to my daughter. It is wonderful knowing that she has a diamond watch that her grandma was given in her teenage years by her dad ( my daughter's great grandfather). Wedding is this June and would love to add this to her collection so she can hand it down to her child/ren.

I would love to give this to my wife for a couple reasons. 1st, the one i bought got taken from her a couple years ago. My moms rings were taken by a sister whom is gay and if something happened to her it would no longer be in our family. I was the only son who did marry and now with her's being taken and my moms is pretty much lost from our family when i should have gotten them, i would love for this to make up for it all... Its totally beautiful as is her heart.. then when she goes home to the lord we have two daughters and one granddaughter that it would be passed down to eventually. All so we could restart the tradition that has been taken from us twice now.. To let u know my income has been dramatically reduced since now at 53 i am no longer in the workforce due to a couple disabilities. Thank you for the amazing opportunity..

My favorite heirloom jewelry in my family is a piece with a diamond in the center with a cluster of rubies around it. I would love to have this Moissanite ring in my family because it looks as though it has style and heritage.

I lost my wedding ring in a major car accident many years ago. I never could save enough to get another. Well I visited my aunt one day and she gave me my grandmothers wedding set. Simply amazing and carries many memories. I treasure it always. I would love to add this lovely ring to my other hand to commemorate 13 years of marriage. This looks high quality and is gorgeous.

My family doesn't have an heirlooms but I did by a ring that I said I would pass on in my family amongst the females. I purchased a ring while I was battling my cervical cancer as a promise to myself that I would not give up my battle. I want to pass this ring to others in my family who are fighting cancer at some point in life as a symbol of strength, to remind that we are strong & will be a survivor whether here on Earth or with God in heaven.

Well im the baby girl out of the family whi h is 5 boys and one more sister. Me and my mom was very close. We did a lot together. Cook, had all the cook outs together.you name it we did it.even thou my step dad would do my mother so much harm, she still stayed with him for a 47 yr sof marriage. She always told e to be a strong woman and never let no one take fromme, and then one day i took her to the doctor which she never went .but when I took her and then took her to get her results. She came out and didn't say a word.but the next day she told me to come over and at that time in my life i wad engaged so i went over she had brought us some wine and beer. And she said she had something to give me .and she gave me an ring and before she could say anything i jump up with joy i was on cloud 50 .it was a ring with diamonds and her birthstone color shewas born in oct.i said mom u brought this for me and she said no.its my wedding ring i looked at her and asked her why are you giving me this she said her mother gave it to her .i asked her with all of the mo ing around that we been thru and all that my step dad took her thru with 7 kids all together how did she managed to keep it. All she said is that I have my ways..and i asked her why are you giving it to me.she said that she wanted to. And then I asked her about the doctor appointment and what did he say .she didn't want to talk about it. Ut i pushed the issue and she said that the doctor said that she only has 6 months to live.and shewanted to get her house in order, and that was the first step .she passed 3 days after her birthday. And then i went out of town to see my grandmother which I have not seen 27 yrs.but my home was broken into and it was stolen..and now in engaged to someone that i really love..i would love to win this beautiful prize giveaway and I have my fingers crossed for achance to win this beautiful prize giveaway.
