Heirloom Blush Alabama Wedding

Today I’m sharing an Alabama wedding from j.woodbery photography that is sweet as tea. Filled with heirloom and DIY details, this is one you don’t want to miss! The bride, Samantha Francis, former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, even created her own florals (gorgeous, no?) I am also in love with her gorgeous braided updo!

When I thought of my wedding to Austin I wanted it to be intimate with people who we loved and who only wanted great things for us! I knew I wanted a vintage theme, but really I just wanted to use things that Austin and I loved and I wanted to incorporate family heirlooms.

My favorite moment of the day was turning the corner with my Dad walking me down the aisle in the church I have grown up in, and finally seeing Austin for the first time that day.

I decided to use pieces of my mother’s vintage and heirloom glass for the flower centerpieces, and the rest of my inspiration grew from my dress. The moment I saw it I knew that we would have a intimate vintage southern wedding full of lots of our favorite sweets, glass Coke bottles and BBQ Sliders from our Local BBQ Pit.

My advice to brides planning their weddings is to remember to not get too consumed in details and planning a big party that you forget the main thing, which is your marriage. Also, don’t stress too much about the little things. Some things won’t get done, but you won’t even notice come wedding day!
