A Rustic Succulent California Wedding
January 22, 2013If you are a succulent and burlap loving bride, today’s rustic California wedding will make you swoon! There are just too many sweet details to fall in love with in this wedding. The bouquet is amazing, the ceremony breath-taking, and the dessert table is definitely making me hungry!
The gorgeous bride Stephanie shares:
Our wedding was held at La Provence Restaurant in Roseville, California. We were drawn to this location because of the meadow that the ceremony was held in. The large oak trees and natural greenery fit the vision we had for our day flawlessly and provided much inspiration for the rest of our decor. This venue was very flexible and accommodating in allowing us to come in a completely redecorate their restaurant from the inside out.
With the natural and earthy backdrop for the ceremony, we wanted to continue that feel indoors. We used of lot of re-purposed materials such as wine bottle centerpieces, beer bottle vases, and signs made out of wooden pallets. Photography was one of the elements of planning that we emphasized most. We spent a lot of time searching for a photographer that would be able to capture our day naturally and candidly. Carmen Salazar was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to document our day exactly how we had hoped.
One of our favorite moments from the day was the “First Look.” It allowed us to slow down and have a few moments together before the celebration began. Riding out of the wedding on a vintage Schwinn tandem bicycle was another highlight. My dad found and restored the bicycle for a very special getaway. Most of all, it was incredible to see all of our hard work and ideas come together in the decor and overall vibe of the wedding. Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have ever imagined.

I love your pictures and the rustic vintage theme for the wedding. We have a plantation down here in south Louisiana and do vintage style weddings all the time. Brides even want to have their ceremony in our barn !! Lol
Your site looks great and looks like I'll be borrowing some ideas for our next event !!

Oh wow, your wedding was an absolute gorgeous event! I'm pretty sure, this is the wedding I've had in my mind for years now. The succulents for your bouquet, the natural color clothes on the chairs going down the aisle, the way your hair was done. Phenomenal! Congrats to you and your husband! What a dream wedding, in the beauty of the trees, and nature. :D
