Need a little glam before all the holiday festivities this week? Today’s modern and elegant Boston wedding is just the ticket! I love the chic and simple centerpieces, and of course, those fab Kate Spade glitter heels!

The beautiful bride Amanda shares:

Shawn and I met in math class freshman year at Bentley College and 9 years later we finally got engaged!  We had attended almost 30 weddings together so we had a pretty good idea of what wanted for our own wedding.  We knew we wanted to get married at the church across the street from our apartment and the reception to be held at a hotel in Boston.  As soon as we walked into the Ritz Carlton we knew it was the place for our classic and traditional wedding.  The service was wonderful and the room was beautiful over-looking the Boston Common.

On the ride over to the church I couldn’t believe how nervous I was, but as soon as my dad and I took that first step down the aisle and I saw Shawn with the biggest smile on his face all my nerves went away.  It felt like just the two of us standing up at the alter making a life-long commitment to one another.  The ceremony was by far my favorite part of the day.

After the ceremony we took our family and bridal party all around Boston for pictures.  Brooke took control and did an AMAZING job with the photographs.  Our Boston wedding was coming together and captured just the way we wanted. Two things that were important to Shawn and I were the music and the food!  We wanted to have our two favorites – steak and oysters!  The chef was excellent and food was delicious.  We found a fantastic DJ who played our favorite songs and had everyone out on the dance floor all night long.

The wedding day was everything I imagined it would be.  Shawn and I could not have been happier.  We felt very lucky that we were able to celebrate our marriage with all our family and friends in the city that we call home.
